1. Who we are
PulseTrip ("we", "our", "us") is a pre-booking cab platform operated from Bangalore, India. Our website is pulsetrip.in. For questions about this policy, contact us at contact@pulsetrip.in.
2. What data we collect
- Mobile number — Required for account creation and booking. We verify via OTP.
- Name — Used to personalise your booking and driver communication.
- Email address — Optional. Used for booking confirmation emails and invoices.
- Pickup and drop addresses — Required to estimate fare and assign drivers.
- Payment information — Processed entirely by Razorpay. We never store card details.
- Device and usage data — Browser type, OS, pages visited, booking funnel events via PostHog analytics. No personally identifiable data is sent to PostHog.
- GSTIN — Optional. Provided by you for GST invoices.
3. How we use your data
- To create and manage your booking
- To send OTP for authentication
- To share booking details and driver information via WhatsApp and SMS
- To send your invoice via email (if email is provided)
- To improve our product through aggregate, anonymised analytics
- To contact you in case of a booking issue or emergency
- To send promotional offers (only if you have not opted out)
4. Data sharing
We share your data only with the following parties and only to fulfill your booking:
- Assigned cab vendor / driver — Name and phone number shared so your driver can reach you.
- Razorpay — Payment processing. Subject to Razorpay's own privacy policy.
- MSG91 — WhatsApp and SMS delivery only.
- Resend — Email delivery only.
- Supabase — Secure database hosting (India/US region).
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for marketing purposes.
5. Data retention
We retain your booking data for 3 years after your last booking for accounting and legal compliance. You may request deletion of your account data (except where legally required to retain) by emailing contact@pulsetrip.in.
6. Your rights
Under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and applicable Indian data protection rules, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Opt out of promotional WhatsApp/SMS messages (reply STOP to any message)

7. Cookies
We use essential cookies only — for authentication sessions (managed by Supabase Auth). We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Our analytics (PostHog) uses a first-party cookie that does not track you across other websites.
8. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Payment data is handled entirely by Razorpay (PCI-DSS compliant). We use Supabase Row Level Security to ensure users can only access their own data.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of PulseTrip after changes constitutes acceptance.
